Vocal Podcast

I used the male voice, the fade out, ducking, a music track, and the broadcast music. If we needed to make a vocal voice I could use GarageBand and easily make one. People could post podcasts of their recent business opportunities and other deals for products. The easiest part of the project was the actual recording because it didn't take long and was easy to record and add effects. The hardest part was adding and acquiring the pictures; they didn't work at some times. I'd like to have the directions clarify what types of effects could be put in; like if we could put music or voice effects.

Storyboard Project

My group chose Notre Dame Soccer. Two of our group members were soccer players and we knew that that would help our group because they know the inside scoop of soccer. We choose the image above, the Notre Dame logo, soccer team, and 2010 seniors. We choose these because they really show Notre Dame soccer, especially the Championship Trophy. Our group used Google Docs so that everyone on our group could add ideas. Having a storyboard helps out because you get to see the project before you start. It's a great way to make a movie.

iPhoto Project

1. Which search terms did you use to find images (for the letters of your name and the images that describe you) and why?
2. What skills did you use/learn in this project?
3. Describe how you might use these skills and apply them to a real-world situation.
4. This was a more creative project than our first 2. Did you prefer it or the more cut and dry assignments in Word and Excel?


1. For the letters of my name I searched in Google Images: Letter C or Letter B. I used this because a if you would just search a c then you would get every picture named with a c in it.
2. I learned how to use iPhoto better and import my photos and making screen shows.
3. If I take some pictures in the future I can make them look a lot better.
4. No, I would have rather had the iPhoto. I didn't know that much about iPhoto and now I do. I knew too much about Word and Excel already.

Mail Merge Project

I really enjoyed the Mail Merge project. I like being able now to know exactly how to write a business letter and also mail merge. The mail merging is very important. Instead of taking a very, very long time to write out every person's name, address, etc. it could take awhile. Now that I know how to mail merge it is quick and easy to be able to make letters without the horrible hassle. The letter part was great also. I like that now I know exactly how to write a business letter. I was always iffy on the business letter, but now, I know how to write one.
